There are plenty of businesses and apps to help keep track of your finances. It is simple to do it yourself. Spend just 15 minutes a day on average and you can really move forward financially. On the days you have little to track you can work on investing.
Here is what you need to do.
List how much money you will be paid during the month. Be sure to list the pay date and the amount you typically get paid or expect to get paid.
Below the pay section from left to right list: Item to pay, date to pay/use, amount to pay, balance/budget
Below ITEM put Living expenses on the left side. Going down the left side of the page list all of your living expenses. These are things like utility bills, gas for your car, groceries, restaurant, fun, etc.
Next list Debts. Below that put down every debt. These are your car loans, mortgage (rent is a living expense), credit cards, etc. Anything where you owe a larger balance that you are working to pay off.
Under that put savings. Listing each Items to save for; emergencies, vacation, college fund, etc
Next, put Investments. These are accounts you intend to grow your money in. Stocks, 401K, bitcoin, whatever you have decided to invest your money in.
Updating your financial tracker daily will help you understand really well where your money is going. It is important to monitor your finances weekly at the very least.
When spending with cash save your receipts to help track what you've spent.
Keep a separate list of your spending. Then, just use that information to update your tracker.
